Westport firefighters joined with the Norwalk Fire Department today to extinguish flames in a tractor-trailer on I-95 at the Westport-Norwalk border between exits 17 and 16. Westport firefighters in the southbound lane shot water from a high-powered rooftop nozzle across the roadway to the fire in the northbound lanes before Norwalk firefighters got to the scene.
